Minor League Team

In a very strange minor league deal, the Calgary Flames and the Atlanta Thrashers have swapped minor league cities. The Flames will move their farm team operations to the City of Chicago and will keep the Wolves moniker. The Thrashers will operate out of Abbotsford, the home town of the Thrashers GM Dave Cherniwchan and will be called the Heat.

The Flames will receive a 4th round draft pick to accommodate the Thrashers GM Dave Cherniwchan, so he can operate out of the city he grew up in.
